ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ് ദേശീയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നയത്തിന്റെ സുപ്രധാന ഘടകങ്ങള്‍ നടപ്പാക്കിയെന്ന് ഡയറക്ടര്‍
കൊച്ചി: ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഇന്‍സ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് ഓഫ് ടെക്നോളജി മദ്രാസ് (ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ്) ദേശീയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നയം 2020 ന്റെ സുപ്രധാന ഘടകങ്ങള്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയതായി ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ് ഡയറക്ടര്‍ പ്രൊഫ. വി.കാമകോടി പറഞ്ഞു. ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ് ഫോര്‍ ഓള്‍, ബിഎസ് ബിരുദം (ഡാറ്റ സയന്‍സ് ആന്‍ഡ് ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനുകള്‍), ഇന്റര്‍ ഡിസിപ്ലിനറി ഡ്യുവല്‍ ഡിഗ്രി (ഐഡിഡിഡി) പ്രോഗ്രാമുകളിലാണ് ഇത് നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. സാങ്കേതിക വിഷയങ്ങള്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് ഹ്യുമാനിറ്റീസ് വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ സ്‌പെഷ്യലൈസ് ചെയ്യാനും വ്യത്യസ്ത വിഷയങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മാറുന്നതിനും പഠിക്കുന്നതിനും പിന്‍മാറുന്നതിനും അവസരം ഉണ്ട്.
കേന്ദ്ര ഉന്നത വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന് കീഴിലുള്ള അക്കാദമിക് ബാങ്ക് ഓഫ് ക്രെഡിറ്റ്‌സ് പോര്‍ട്ടലില്‍ (https://www.abc.gov.in ) ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇവിടുത്തെ 491 വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ ഇതില്‍ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തു. ദേശീയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നയത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടുള്ള റൂറല്‍ ഇന്ററാക്ഷന്‍ സെന്റര്‍, റൂറല്‍ ടെക്നോളജി സെന്റര്‍ എന്നിവ ഗ്രാമീണമേഖലയിലെ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള കൂടുതല്‍ അറിവ് നേടാന്‍ പ്രാപ്്തമാക്കുന്നു. സന്റര്‍ ഫോര്‍ ഇന്നൊവേഷന്‍ ആന്റ് നിര്‍മാണ്‍, ബിഎസ് ഡാറ്റാ സയന്‍സ് ആന്റ് പ്രോഗ്രാമിങ്, ഇന്‍ഡിസിപ്ലിനറി ഡ്യുവല്‍ ഡിഗ്രി പ്രോഗ്രാം എന്നിവയും എന്‍ഇപി നയത്തിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. വിവിധ പഠന ശാഖകളിലായി ഇരട്ട ബിരുദം നല്‍കുന്ന 14 കോഴ്‌സുകള്‍ ഇതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ആരംഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പുതിയ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നയം വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ സര്‍ഗ്ഗാത്മകത, വിമര്‍ശനാത്മക ചിന്ത, പ്രശ്‌നപരിഹാരത്തിനുള്ള കഴിവുകള്‍ എന്നിവ പരിപോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെ ആവശ്യകത ഊന്നിപ്പറയുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് ഐഐടി മദ്രാസ് ഡയറക്ടര്‍ പ്രൊഫ. വി.കാമകോടി പറഞ്ഞു.
