തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ബെവറജസ് കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ വിദേശ മദ്യത്തിന്റെ വെയര്‍ഹൗസ്, റീട്ടെയില്‍ മാര്‍ജിനുകള്‍ കുത്തനെ വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ച നടപടി സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പുനപ്പരിശോധിക്കണമെന്ന് വിദേശമദ്യ വ്യവസായികളുടെ സംഘടനയായ ഇന്റര്‍നാഷനല്‍ സ്പിരിറ്റ്‌സ് ആന്റ് വൈന്‍സ് അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ (ഐഎസ്ഡബ്ല്യുഎഐ) ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. വെയര്‍ഹൗസ് മാര്‍ജിന്‍ 14 ശതമാനവും റീട്ടെയില്‍ മാര്‍ജിന്‍ 20 ശതമാനവും വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചതില്‍ ആശങ്കയുണ്ട്. ഇത് വ്യവസായ മേഖലയ്ക്കും ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്‍ക്കും വലിയ തിരിച്ചടിയാകുമെന്ന് ഐഎസ്ഡബ്ല്യുഎഐ സിഇഒ നിത കപൂര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ വരുമാനത്തില്‍ 0.25 ശതമാനം മാത്രമാണ് വിദേശമദ്യ വ്യവസായത്തിന്റെ പങ്ക എന്നതിനാല്‍ ഈ മാര്‍ജിന്‍ വര്‍ധനവിലൂടെ പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ച വരുമാനം സര്‍ക്കാരിന് നേടാന്‍ കഴിയില്ലെന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
സര്‍ക്കാരിനും വ്യവസായികള്‍ക്കും നഷ്ടമാണ് ഇതുണ്ടാക്കുക. എന്നാല്‍ ഇതിന്റെ ആഘാതം ആദ്യം അനുവഭിക്കേണ്ടി വരുന്നത് ഉല്‍പ്പാദകരും വിതരണക്കാരും ഉപഭോക്താക്കളുമാണ്. ഒറ്റയടിക്ക് 26 ശതമാനം വരെ വിലവര്‍ധനയ്ക്ക് ഇത് കാരണമാകും. 3000 രൂപ വിലയുള്ള മദ്യത്തിന് 3800 രൂപയായി വില വര്‍ധിക്കും. ഇത് ഉപഭോക്താക്കള്‍ക്ക് വലിയ തിരിച്ചടിയാകും. വലിയൊരു പങ്ക് ഉപഭോക്താക്കളും ഇഷ്ട ബ്രാന്‍ഡിനായി വില കുറഞ്ഞ മറ്റു ഉറവിടങ്ങള്‍ തേടും. ഇത് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഖജനാവിന് നഷ്ടമുണ്ടാക്കുമെന്നും ഐഎസ്ഡബ്ല്യുഎഐ സെക്രട്ടറി ജനറല്‍ സുരേഷ് മേനോന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
മഹാമാരി കാരണം 2020ല്‍ 35 ശതമാനം വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ച വില്‍പ്പന നികുതി പുനപ്പരിശോധിക്കാനുള്ള സമയമായി. വെയര്‍ഹൗസ്, റീട്ടെയില്‍ മാര്‍ജിനുകള്‍ യഥാക്രമം 14 ശതമാനവും 20 ശതമാനവുമായി വര്‍ധിപ്പിച്ചാലും വില്‍പ്പന നികുതി പഴയ നിരക്കിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയാല്‍ മൂന്ന് ശതമാനം മാത്രമെ വില വര്‍ധനയുണ്ടാകൂ എന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
