കൊച്ചി: കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് പദ്ധതികളില്‍ വാട്‌സാപ് വഴി ലളിതമായി ചേരാൻ അവസരമൊരുക്കുന്ന പുതിയ സംവിധാനം ഫെഡറല്‍ ബാങ്ക് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. പ്രധാന്‍മന്ത്രി ജീവന്‍ ജ്യോതി ബിമ യോജന (പി.എം.ജെ.ജെ.ബി.വൈ) പദ്ധതിയിലും പ്രധാന്‍മന്ത്രി സുരക്ഷ ബിമ യോജന (പി.എം.എസ്.ബി.വൈ) അപകട ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് പദ്ധതിയിലുമാണ് പ്രസ്തുത സൗകര്യം വഴി ചേരാനാവുന്നത്. ഫെഡറല്‍ ബാങ്കിന്റെ 9633 600 800 എന്ന വാട്‌സാപ് നമ്പറിലേക്ക് Hi എന്ന് മെസേജ് അയച്ച് ചേരാവുന്നതാണ്. 18നും 50നുമിടയില്‍ പ്രായമുള്ള എല്ലാ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പൗരന്മാര്‍ക്കും പി.എം.ജെ.ജെ.ബി.വൈയില്‍ അംഗത്വമെടുക്കാം. പി.എം.എസ്.ബി.വൈ പദ്ധതിയില്‍ അംഗത്വമെടുക്കാനുള്ള പ്രായപരിധി 18-70 ആണ്. ഈ പദ്ധതികളില്‍ വാട്‌സാപ് വഴി അംഗത്വമെടുക്കാന്‍ ഒരു ബാങ്ക് സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കുന്നത് ഇതാദ്യമാണ്.

ബാങ്ക് ശാഖകളില്‍ നേരിട്ട് എത്താതെ, കടലാസ് രഹിതമായി ഇടപാടുകാർക്ക് വാട്‌സാപ്പിലൂടെ ലളിതമായി ഈ രണ്ടു പ്രധാന ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് പദ്ധതികളുടെ പരിരക്ഷ സ്വന്തമാക്കാമെന്ന് ഫെഡറല്‍ ബാങ്ക് എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് ഡയറക്ടര്‍ ശാലിനി വാര്യര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
