എന്ന സന്ദേശം ഫോട്ടോ സഹിതം എഡിറ്റ് ചെയ്ത് ശിമ്പാലു അയച്ച് തന്നു. ആ ഫോട്ടം ഓൻ പണ്ട് നട്ട വാഴേരെ അടീല് നിന്നിറ്റെട്ത്തതാണെന്നറിഞ്ഞിറ്റും, നമ്മളെല്ലം ഓനോട് ക്ഷമിച്ചു. ഫോൺ ഞെക്ക്ന്നത് മാറ്റി വച്ചിറ്റ് നമ്മളെല്ലം നാടകത്തിന് വിഷയം ചിന്തിക്കുന്ന സമയത്ത്, ഒരു ജാഥ നമ്മക്ക് മുമ്പിലെ കൂടീറ്റ് കടന്നുപോയി.
“ഡൽഹീല് ബില്ലെ സമരം നടക്ക്ന്ന് ണ്ട്”
നിസ്മു മൊബൈൽ ഫോണില് സമരരംഗം കാണിച്ച് തന്നു.ചൂലും പിടിച്ചിറ്റില്ലെ സമരം, ആ സമരത്തിന് പിന്തുണ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് ഒരു കൂട്ടം പെണ്ണ്ങ്ങള് കൊടിപിടിച്ച് മുദ്രാവാക്യം വിളിച്ച് നടന്ന് നീങ്ങി.പെണ്ണ്ങ്ങള് പാവങ്ങളാണെന്ന് എല്ലാരും പറഞ്ഞു.
“ചിമ്പു അതറാ… ആയില് നിന്റമ്മ”
നിസ്മു ഗവേഷകനമാതിരി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.ചിമ്പൂന്റമ്മ ഓനേം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചോണ്ട് മുദ്രാവാക്യം ഏറ്റ് വിളിച്ചോണ്ട് നടന്നു.പെൺചോര വാർന്നുപോയിടങ്ങളിലെയെല്ലാം സംഭാഷണം കൊഴുപ്പിച്ചോണ്ട് ഞങ്ങളിരുന്നു. ആവേശം കൊണ്ട് കുഞ്ഞീപ്പെണ്ണേട്ടി കുഞ്ഞിക്കണ്ണേട്ടന ഫോണില് വിളിച്ചു.
“എന്തേ…. വര്ന്നില്ലെ?…”
മൊബൈൽ ഞെക്കിക്കോണ്ട് നിസ്മു പറഞ്ഞു.
“ഈറ്റ്ങ്ങക്കൊന്നും ബേറൊന്നും പണീല്ല”
തൊട്ടട്ത്ത ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡില് ഇരിന്നിറ്റ്ണ്ടായ്ര് ന്ന, പ് രാന്തൻ പക്കീരേട്ടൻ ഓറെ ഭാണ്ഡകെട്ട്ന്ന് റാക്കും കുപ്പീരെ മൂട് മാറ്റി വായിലേക്ക് കമഴ്ത്തി. അതും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചോണ്ട് പെണ്ണ്ങ്ങള് നടന്ന് പോയി. പണ്ടെങ്ങോ അയാള് ആ നാടിന് എന്തോ ആയിരുന്നൂന്ന് അവരുടെ മുഖം പറയ്ന്നത് മാതിരി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് തോന്നി. മുദ്രാവാക്യം വിളീരെ ഒച്ഛകേട്ടിറ്റ് എല്ലാരും ഉണർന്നു. നിസ്മൂന്റെ ഫോണെട്ത്തിറ്റ് അഭിപ്രായം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. “എല്ലാവിധ ഭാവുകങ്ങളും നേരുന്നു”.
കാച്ച് കാരൻ കുമാരന് പക്കീരേട്ടനോട് സ്നേഹം കൂട്യാല് ബാക്കി വരുന്ന ഒരു കുപ്പി പറങ്ക്യാങ്ങേരെ വെള്ളം ഓർക്ക് കൊട്ക്കും. ഇല്ലേങ്കില് കൊളത്ത്ങ്ങാല് തോട്ടില് പാറക്കെട്ടിന്റെട്ക്ക് ഞെണ്ടുകള കാവല് നിർത്തി ഓറ് ഒളിപ്പിച്ചുവെക്ക്ന്ന സാധനത്തിന് ഈടും ഉറപ്പും ഇണ്ടാവീലാന്ന് കുമാരന് ചെറിയ തോന്നിച്ച ഇണ്ടായി.കുപ്പി കാലിയായാല് ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡിന്റെ ചേതിക്കില്ലെ കരിങ്കല്ല് നോക്കി ഒരേറ് കൊട്ക്കും.ആ ഏറ് കൊണ്ട്ണ്ടാക്ന്ന ശബ്ദം തെളിവ് പോലെ നാട്ട്കാരുടെ കാതുകളെ അസ്വസ്ഥമാക്കും. മുകളിലേക്ക് കൂർത്ത് നിൽക്കുന്ന കുപ്പിച്ചില്ലിന്റെ മുകളിലൂടെ നടന്ന് പുതിയകാലത്തിന്റെ വിൽപ്പനക്കാരൻ ജീവിതവിജയം നേടും.
“നമസ്കാരം സർ”
ഒരു നെഗറ്റീവ് കസ്റ്റമറെ നേരിടാമെന്ന ധൈര്യത്തില് അയാൾ പക്കീരേട്ടന സമീപിച്ചു. ഓറ് തലമാന്തി ചോര വര്ത്തി.ചോര പറ്റിയ വിരല് കൊണ്ട് മുഖം തുടച്ചു.ആവി പിടിക്കുന്ന യന്ത്രം ബാഗിലേക്കിട്ട് വിൽപനക്കാരൻ പോയി.പക്കീരേട്ടൻ പാട്ട് പാടി.
“കല്ലിന്റെടക്കുള്ള ഞെണ്ടെ
കല്യാണത്തിന് പോണ്ടെ
താലിയും മാലയും വേണ്ടെ
കല്യാണത്തിന് പോവാൻ”
ശിമ്പാലു നീ പറയ്ന്നത് മാതിരി സ്കൂള് വിട്ടിറ്റ് വര്ന്ന പുള്ളമ്മാറ എടങ്ങേറാക്കാനൊന്നും പക്കീരേട്ടന് തോന്നലില്ല.ഓറാദ്യം ഒരുമ്മച്ചീന മംഗലം കൈയ്ച്ചു.ഓറ് വെഷം കുടിച്ചിറ്റ് മരിച്ചു.അയിന് ശേഷം ഉവർക്ക് പ് രാന്തായി. പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ
ഭ്രാന്തിന് കാരണം കണ്ടെത്തിക്കോണ്ട് ചിമ്പു വാദിച്ചു. പക്കീരേട്ടൻ എന്തോ കണക്ക് കൂട്ടി അല്ലെങ്കില് കണക്ക് കൂട്ടാനറിയാതെ പകച്ച് നിന്നു.ജീവിതം അയിന്റെ പാട്ടിന് പോയി.കുടലകളുടെ കുടിലുകളിൽ മുട്ടി.കടം വന്ന് മൂടി. പെരുവഴിയിൽ അലയുമ്പോഴും അയാള് ഈ നാടിന് എന്തൊക്കെയൊ ആയിരുന്നൂന്ന് നാട്ട്കാരെല്ലം പറഞ്ഞു. പുതുതലമുറയിലെ ഞങ്ങൾ പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ തലക്ക് പകരം ഡയോജനിസിന്റെ തലവച്ച് ഫേസ്ബുക്കിലിട്ടു. ആരൊക്കയൊ ലൈക്ക് ചെയ്തു, ആരൊക്കയൊ കമ്മന്റിട്ടു.പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ പഴയ ജീവിതം
സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഒരു ഐതിഹ്യം നാട്ടില് പരന്നിറ്റ്ണ്ട്.അയിലൊരു കുഞ്ഞീം ഇണ്ട്ന്ന് നാട്ട്കാര് പറയ്ന്ന്ണ്ട്. നിസ്മു ഓന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുമ്മാന്റട്ത്ത് നാലഞ്ചു വർഷം മുമ്പ് ന്ക്കാൻ പോയപ്പാട്, പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ അനിയൻ മെമ്പറ് കണാരേട്ടൻ ഓന ചൂഴ്ന്നു നോക്കി. ആ നോട്ടത്തില് ഏതോ അപരാധത്തിന്റെ കരിനിഴല് വന്ന് കുത്തി നോവിക്ക്ന്നത് പോലെ ഓന് തോന്നി.
നിസ്മൂന്റെ കണ്ണ് ആരും കാണാതെ നനഞ്ഞു.കുഞ്ഞിപ്പെണ്ണേട്ടി നിസ്മൂന്റെ കുഞ്ഞ്മുഖം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചോണ്ട് അനുകമ്പ നടിച്ചു.
“ചിത്രേല് നല്ലൊരു പടം വന്നിറ്റ്ണ്ട്”
നിസ്മു പറഞ്ഞു.ഉച്ഛവെയില് കൂടുകയൊ കുറയുകയൊ ചെയ്തില്ല, കരിമേഘം പരന്നില്ല,കാറ്റ് പോലുമില്ലാത്ത മൂകത.
“പെണ്ണ് സിഗരറ്റ് വലിക്കുന്ന പടം”
പക്കീരേട്ടന കുറിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സംസാരം ഓന അസ്വസ്ഥനാക്കിയിരുന്നു.
“ഓറാട അധികം ഇരിക്കേന്നുല്ല”
ചിമ്പു കൂസലില്ലാതെ പറഞ്ഞു.പറഞ്ഞ് തീരവെ ഒരു ജാഥ വിലക്കയറ്റത്തിനെതിരയും, അഴിമതിക്കെതിരെയും കടന്നു പോയി.
പക്കീരേട്ടൻ ഉച്ഛത്തില് കൂവി.

കുറെ ചെറുപ്പക്കാരുടെ ഷർട്ടിന്റെ കൈകൾ മുകളിലോട്ട് കയറിയെങ്കിലും,ഏതോ ചിരപരിചിതമായ മുഖം പോലെ പക്കീരേട്ടനനോക്കി ഗൗനിക്കാതെ അവർ കടന്നു പോയി.
ടൗണില് എ.ടി.എം കൂടിന്റെ ചില്ല് ജാലകത്തിലൂടെ ചന്തു അകത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.പൈസ തീർന്ന വേവലാതീല് പ് രാഗി തിരിച്ചു പോകുന്നവരെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ച് ഓൻ പൈസ കിട്ടാതെ നമ്മളെ ആൽത്തറക്ക് മുന്പില് വന്നു.
“ഇതറ നെറ്റ് കാർഡ്”
നിസ്മു ആവേശത്തോടെ കാർഡ് വാങ്ങി.പിന്നെ ഓന് ചുറ്റും സ്വന്തം അക്കൗണ്ട് തുറക്കാൻ ക്യൂ നിന്നു. വീണ്ടും പുതിയ ഫോട്ടോകൾ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു.പക്കീരേട്ടൻ ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡ് തറേലേക്ക് ചാഞ്ഞു. ഒരാൾ പറഞ്ഞ് തുടങ്ങി”ന്ങ്ങളെല്ലം വിജാരിക്ക്ന്ന മാതിരി പക്കീരേട്ടന് പണ്ടേ. പ് രാന്തൊന്നും ഇല്ല,ന്ങ്ങൊ പറയ്ന്നത് കേട്ടാ തോന്നും, ഓറ് പെറ്റ്ബീണപ്പാടെന്നെ റോട്ട്ലെ കൂടീറ്റ് നടക്ക്ന്ന് ണ്ടായ്ന് ന്ന്. ചേരിപ്പാടി ടൗണില് ചവറുകൾ വലിച്ച് കൂട്ട്യേയ്ന് മീതെ ഓറ് ഇരിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടവര്ണ്ടാവും, പണ്ട് പൂനം കൃഷിക്ക് കാട് വെട്ടുമ്പൊ കാട്ട് തീ വന്ന് കത്തീരെ മൂർച്ച കെട്ത്തീറ്റ്ണ്ടാവും, വെന്ത് പദം വന്ന കാട്ടിറച്ചി തിന്ന് പക്കീരേട്ടന് മത്ത് പറ്റിക്കാണും,മന്ദം മന്ദം നടന്നു വന്ന പക്കീരേട്ടൻ നദീതീരത്തുള്ള താമസം മതിയാക്കിയപ്പോൾ നദി വന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു കാണും.
“പക്കീര നീയെന്നെ വിട്ട് പോകുന്നോ?”
“ഉം” എന്ന്ള്ള മൂളല് മാത്രം കൊടുത്ത് പക്കീരേട്ടൻ നടന്ന് കാണും, ഇനിയെനിക്കാരുമില്ലാന്ന്ള്ള ധ്വനി പടർത്തിയ മന്ദഹാസം പരന്ന് കാണും, പുഴയൊഴുക്ക് തടഞ്ഞവൻ കുറ്റവാളിയാകുന്ന കാലത്ത് പക്കീരേട്ടനെ ശിക്ഷിക്കാതെ വിട്ടു. നദീതീരത്തുള്ള മുളക്കാത്ത വിത്ത് നോക്കി എല്ലാവരും ശപിച്ചു.
“പക്കീരൻ ശാപം കിട്ട്യോനാണ് ഓൻ പോയ ദ്ക്കൊന്നും ഗുണം പിടിക്കീല” ഒരു കുറ്റവാളി ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടാതെ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം അനുഭവിച്ചാല് ഓന്റെ ഉള്ളില് കുറ്റബോധം ഇണ്ടാവും. ആ കുറ്റബോധം വളർന്ന് സ്വയം കുറ്റമാരോപിച്ച് അരാചക ജീവിതം നയിച്ചിറ്റ്ണ്ടാവും, ഇനിയാരും കാട് വെട്ടരുതെന്നും കാട്ട് തീ പടർത്തരുതെന്നും സ്വയം താക്കീത് ചെയ്തിറ്റ്ണ്ടാവും.
ദൂരത്ത്ന്ന് കണ്ടാല് ഇരിക്ക്ന്നതൊ കെടക്ക്ന്നതോന്ന് സംശയൂണ്ട്.ചേറ് പറ്റിയ ഉടുപ്പും പ്രാകൃതമായ മുഖഭാവോം,കണ്ടാല് ആരും മ്ണ്ടാൻ മടിക്കും. എന്നാലും കൂടെ ഇണ്ടായിര്ന്ന ചിമ്പു നീട്ടി വിളിച്ചു.
“പക്കീരേട്ടാ…… ഹോയ്…..
ഒച്ച കൂടിപ്പോയി ശബ്ദതരംഗങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശവേഗത്തിൽ ചലിച്ച് കർണപടം പൊട്ടുമാറ് പ്രകമ്പനമുണ്ടായി. ചോര ചെകിട് വഴി താഴോട്ടിറങ്ങി. കാട്ടിലെ പ്രളയം പോലെ നെഞ്ചിലെ രോമങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലൂടെ ഉറുമ്പുകൾ പരക്കം പാഞ്ഞു.കഴുകന്റെ ചിറകുമായ് ഈച്ചകൾ അടുത്ത് വന്ന് കിന്നാരം പറഞ്ഞു.
“പക്കീരേട്ടാ..ദാ..ചെക്കൻ ബിളിക്ക്ന്ന് ണ്ട്”
പക്കീരേട്ടൻ കൈ വീശി അവറ്റകളെ പായിച്ചു. ഭ്രാന്തന്മാറങ്ങനെയാണ് അവർക്ക് സ്വന്തം പേര് പോലും ഓർമ കാണീല.ചിമ്പു സ്വയം സമാധാനിച്ചു. അതീന്നൊരു ഈച്ച വന്ന് ചിമ്പൂന്റെ ചുമലിലിര്ന്നു. പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ സ്ഥിതിഗതികൾ അറിയിച്ചു.
“ദാ…. അയാക്ക് ചെവീണ്ട് ചെവീല് ഒന്നൂല്ല”
ചെവീല് ഒന്നൂല്ലാത്തോന് ചെകിടടച്ചടികൊട്ത്തിറ്റ്ന്ത്യ കാര്യം. ?
പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡ് ജീവിതം നാട്ട്കാർക്ക് സാമൂഹ്യപ്രശ്നമാവാൻ തൊടങ്ങ്യന്ന് മുതല് നാട്ട്കാരില് പലരും അയാൾക്ക് ചെകിടടച്ചടികൊട്ക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരുന്നു.അടിക്ക് കനം കൂടുന്നതിനനുസരിച്ച് പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ പ്രാന്തും കൊറയൂന്നുള്ള നിഗമനത്തില് എല്ലാവരും എത്തിച്ചേർന്നു. ചേറ് പറ്റാത്ത ചിമ്പൂന്റെ ഷർട്ടിന് പുറത്ത് പക്കീരേട്ടന്റെ ചോര്യോണ്ട് പുള്ളിക്കുത്ത് വരച്ച് ഈച്ച കടന്നുപോയി. പക്കീരേട്ടൻ നമ്മളേല്ലം കളിയാക്ക്ന്നത് പോലെ തോന്നി. ഉറക്കെ ചിരിക്കാനും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടാനും ഓങ്ങ്ന്നത് പോലെ ഒര് തോന്നിച്ച. ഒരു പ്രാവശ്യം പക്കീരേട്ടന പിടിച്ചിറ്റ് കുളിപ്പിക്ക്മ്പൊ അയാള് ദേഹത്ത് മൂത്രമൊയിച്ചിറ്റ് പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്തു. കഞ്ഞി കുടിക്കാൻ കൊട്ത്ത ഞങ്ങക്ക് വയറ്നെറച്ചും ചീത്ത കിട്ടി. എല്ലാരും പക്കീരേട്ടന ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് നടന്നു. പക്കീരേട്ടൻ ഉറക്കെ ചിരിച്ചു. ആ ചിരി കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ ഒറ്റപ്പെടുന്ന നിശ്ശബ്ദരോദന സമരങ്ങളെ ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു.
