ഭീമ കൊറേഗാവ് പ്രതിക്കെതിരായ കേസ് പരിഹാസ്യമാണെന്ന് എൻഐഎയ്ക്കും മോദി-ഷാ ഭരണകൂടത്തിനും നന്നായി അറിയാം, ഒടുവിൽ ഒരു വിചാരണ ഓരോ പ്രതികളെയും കുറ്റവിമുക്തരാക്കും. യു‌എ‌പി‌എയുടെ കീഴിൽ അവരെ തടവിലാക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ, “ജുഡീഷ്യൽ പ്രക്രിയ” തന്നെ കസ്റ്റഡി പീഡനമായി വധശിക്ഷ നൽകാനും അവർ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.
ഫാ. സ്റ്റാന്റെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നീതിന്യായ വ്യവസ്ഥയെ സംബന്ധിച്ചിടത്തോളം ലജ്ജാകരമാണ് – അടിയന്തരാവസ്ഥയിൽ നിന്ന് ഭരണഘടനാ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിൽ സുപ്രീം കോടതി പരാജയപ്പെട്ട കുപ്രസിദ്ധമായ എ.ഡി.എം ജബൽപൂർ കേസിനേക്കാൾ കുറവാണ്. ഈ ഹിയറിംഗുകളിലെ ന്യായാധിപന്മാർ ഒരു സിപ്പറിനുള്ള അഭ്യർത്ഥന അനുവദിക്കാൻ രണ്ടുമാസം മുഴുവൻ സമയമെടുത്തു. തനിക്ക് നടക്കാൻ കഴിയുന്നില്ലെന്നും സഹ തടവുകാർക്ക് സ്പൂൺ നൽകേണ്ടതുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വെറുതെ അഭ്യർത്ഥിച്ചു. ഇത് “വാർദ്ധക്യത്തിന്റെ” അടയാളങ്ങൾ മാത്രമാണെന്നും ഒരു ജാമ്യത്തിന് മതിയായ അടിസ്ഥാനമില്ലെന്നും കോടതി ഇത് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു.
ഫാ സ്റ്റാൻ ജാമ്യം നിഷേധിച്ച ഓരോ ജഡ്ജിമാരുടെയും കൈകളിൽ രക്തമുണ്ട്.
