കേരളത്തില്‍ നൂതന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പദ്ധതി ‘എന്എക്സ്പ്ലോറേഴ്സ് ജൂനിയര്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച് ഷെല്ലും സ്മൈല് ഫൗണ്ടേഷനും
തൃശ്ശൂര്‍: ഊര്‍ജ വ്യവസായ രംഗത്തെ പ്രമുഖ സ്ഥാപനമായ ഷെല്ലും രാജ്യത്തെ പ്രമുഖ സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനയായ സ്മൈല് ഫൗണ്ടേഷനും തൃശൂര്‍ ജില്ലയിലെ സ്‌കൂള്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് പ്രയോജനകരമായ നൂതന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പദ്ധതിയായ ‘എന്എക്സ്പ്ലോറേഴ്സ് ജൂനിയര്‍’ (NXplorers Junior) അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു. ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭയുടെ സുസ്ഥിര വികസന ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങളില്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള പ്രാദേശിക, ആഗോള വെല്ലുവിളികള്‍ മനസിലാക്കാനും അവ നേരിടാനും വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികളെ പ്രാപ്തമാക്കുകയാണ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ ലക്ഷ്യം. ആദ്യ വര്‍ഷം ജില്ലയിലെ 69 സ്‌കൂളുകളിലാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുക.
ഷെല്ലിന്റെ സാമൂഹിക നിക്ഷേപ സ്റ്റെം (സയന്‍സ്, ടെക്‌നോളജി, എഞ്ചിനീയറിങ്, മാത്തമാറ്റിക്‌സ്) വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പദ്ധതിയാണ് എന്എക്സ്പ്ലോറേഴ്സ്. സ്മൈല് ഫൗണ്ടേഷനുമായി ചേര്‍ന്നാണ് പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നത്. 10-നും 12-നും വയസിനിടയിലുള്ള വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കാണ് പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ പരിശീലനം നല്‍കുക. അധ്യാപക ഗൈഡ്, പവര്‍പോയിന്റ് സ്ലൈഡുകള്‍, പരിശീലന വീഡിയോകള്‍ തുടങ്ങിയ ഉപാധികളിലൂടെയായിരിക്കും കോഴ്‌സുകള്‍ ലഭ്യമാക്കുന്നത്.
ജലത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം, ഭക്ഷ്യോല്‍പാദനം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുക, ഊര്‍ജസംരക്ഷണം പ്രോത്സാഹിപ്പിക്കുക തുടങ്ങിയ വിഷയങ്ങളാണ് എന്എക്സ്പ്ലോറേഴ്സ് ജൂനിയര്‍ വര്‍ക്ഷോപ്പുകള്‍ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുക. തൃശൂരിന് പുറമേ ആന്ധ്രപ്രദേശ്, തെലങ്കാന എന്നീ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിലും ആദ്യ വര്‍ഷം പദ്ധതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്‌കൂളുകളിലെയും ചെറുകിട സ്വകാര്യ സ്‌കൂളുകളിലെയും പിന്നാക്ക വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്കായാണ് പദ്ധതി വിഭാവനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്. വിദ്യാര്‍ഥികള്‍ക്ക് പുറമേ രക്ഷിതാക്കളിലും സ്റ്റെം വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അവബോധം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാനും സംസ്ഥാന വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പിന്റെ സഹകരണത്തോടെ നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.
