ജലീൽ ‘ഏതോ ഒരു ഓൺലൈൻ മാധ്യമത്തോട് സംസാരിച്ചു എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് ദിവസമായി അസഹിഷ്ണുത കൊണ്ട് കണ്ണ് കാണാതെയായ മാധ്യമ പ്രവർത്തകരായ എല്ലാ സുഹൃത്തുക്കളോടും ഒരൊറ്റ കാര്യമേ തത്കാലം പറയാനുള്ളൂ. സ്വന്തം സ്റ്റോറിക്ക് ഇരുപത്തിനാല് മണിക്കൂറിന്റെ എങ്കിലും ആയുസ്സ് ഉണ്ടാവണം. ഓരോ ദിവസവും കൊണ്ട് വരുന്ന വാർത്തകൾ പിറ്റേന്ന് പപ്പടം പോലെ പൊടിയുന്നത് കണ്ടിട്ടും ലജ്ജയില്ലാതെ ഈ പണി തുടരാൻ നിർബന്ധിതരാവുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ഗതികേട് കണ്ട് പോപ്കോൺ കൊറിക്കാനുള്ള ദിവസമാണ് എന്തായാലും എനിക്ക് ഇന്ന്. പത്ത് കൊല്ലം മുൻപ് ചെയ്ത ഒരു സ്റ്റോറിയുടെ പേരിൽ ഇന്നും കോടതി കയറി ഇറങ്ങുന്ന ആളാണ് ഞാൻ. പക്ഷേ ആ സ്റ്റോറി ഉണ്ടല്ലോ, അത് റോക്ക് സോളിഡ് ആയി അവിടെ തന്നെ കിടപ്പുണ്ട്. പൊളിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. പൊളിയുകയും ഇല്ല.ഭരണകൂടത്തിന് ഹിതകരമായ ചോദ്യം ചോദിച്ചതിന് അല്ല ആ കേസ് വന്നത്. വ്യാജ രേഖ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയതിനും അല്ല.

എനിക്ക് കൃത്യവുംവ്യക്തവുമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയം ഉണ്ട്. ഞാൻ നിഷ്പക്ഷ മാധ്യമപ്രവർത്തകയല്ല. എനിക്ക് പക്ഷമുണ്ട്. ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെയും മതേതരത്വത്തിന്റെയും പക്ഷത്താണ് ഞാൻ . ഭരണഘടനയുടെ പക്ഷത്താണ്. ഇതൊക്കെ ഇല്ലാതാക്കാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ചൂട്ട് കത്തിച്ചു കൊടുക്കലല്ല എന്റെ പണി. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ അല്ലാതെ ഈ തൊഴിൽ എടുത്ത് ജീവിക്കാൻ പറ്റില്ല എന്നൊരു കാലം വന്നാൽ ഇതങ്ങ് നിർത്തും. അത്രയേ ഉള്ളൂ. അല്ലാതെ ഇങ്ങനെ കമിഴ്ന്നു വീഴില്ല.യജമാനപ്രീതിക്കായി ഇത്രയും അധഃപതിക്കില്ല.
