ഇരുളിന്റെ മറയിൽ നിന്നുയരുന്ന മുരൾച്ചയുടെ കാഠിന്യം കൂടുകയായി. ഒപ്പം ലഹരിയിൽ നിന്നുയരുന്ന അട്ടഹാസങ്ങളും. നടുറോഡിൽ; സി സി ടിവിയുടെ കണ്ണുകൾ പതിയാത്ത ഒരിടത്ത് ശരീരം മുഴുവൻ വെട്ടുകൾ അവശേഷിപ്പിച്ച് , ചോരപ്പുഴയിൽ കുളിച്ച് അല്പായുസ്സിലൊടുങ്ങിയ എത്രയെത്ര ജീവനുകൾ.. അടുത്ത പ്രഭാതം, ലോകമുണരുന്നത് ഈ ക്രൂരമായ കൊലപാതക വാർത്തകളിലൂടെയായിരുന്നു. കുടിപ്പകയോ, രാഷ്ട്രീയ വൈരാഗ്യമോ.. ആൾമാറാട്ട കൊലപാതകമോ.. ? വാർത്താചാനലുകൾ രണ്ടു ദിവസം നീണ്ട വിചാരണ നടത്തി. അവസാനം “ഒരു രക്തസാക്ഷിക്കു കൂടി കേരളം വേദിയായാന്നൊരു” പ്രസ്താവനയിലെത്തി.
ഇതൊരു കഥയല്ല ; ഇന്ന് നമ്മുടെ നാടിന്റെ കുത്തഴിഞ്ഞ രാഷ്ട്രീയ അരാജകത്വത്തിൻെറ നേർച്ചിത്രമാണ്.
വിധേയത്വത്തിനും ആധിപത്യത്തിനുമപ്പുറം സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ രാജ്യത്തിനായി ജീവിതം സമർപ്പിച്ചവരാണ് ‘രക്തസാക്ഷികൾ.’ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും സമത്വവും മുന്നിൽ കണ്ട് ഉയർന്നു വന്ന ആദർശങ്ങളെ മുറുകെ പിടിച്ച് കടന്നു പോയ ആയിരമായിരം രക്തസാക്ഷികൾ. അവരുടെ ആത്മസമർപ്പണത്തിൻെറ ജീവചരിത്രങ്ങൾ സ്വതന്ത്ര ഭാരതത്തിന്റെ താളുകളിൽ സുവർണ്ണ ലിപികളിൽ എഴുതിച്ചേർക്കപ്പെട്ടവയാണ്.
തീണ്ടൽ,തൊടീൽ പോലുള്ള ചാതുർവർണ്യ വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ നിലനിന്നിരുന്ന കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ, അവർണ സമുദായങ്ങളുടെ പൗരാവകാശങ്ങൾ നേടിയെടുക്കാനും അനീതിക്കെതിരെ പ്രതികരിച്ച ധീരാത്മായ കേരളത്തിലെ ആദ്യത്തെ രക്തസാക്ഷിയാണ് ‘ആറാട്ടുപുഴ വേലായുധപ്പണിക്കർ’. അസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിൻെറ അടിമത്തത്തിൻെറ കാരഗൃഹങ്ങൾ തച്ചുടയ്ക്കുവാൻ ബലി കൊടുത്തത് എത്രയെത്ര ജീവനുകൾ..!
ഇന്ന്, സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും സമത്വവും പ്രതിനിധാനം ചെയ്യുന്ന ജനാധിപത്യ സമൂഹത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുമ്പോഴും രാഷ്ട്രീയ കൊലപാതകങ്ങളുടെയും ഹിംസകളുടെയും നിരക്കുകൾ കൂടുന്നത് ആശങ്കാജനകമാണ്. രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിൽ അക്രമവും വർഗ്ഗീയതയും പരസ്പരപൂരകങ്ങളായി മാറുമ്പോൾ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ധാർമികത നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട് അക്രമങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വഴി തിരിയുന്നു. ഓരോ പാർട്ടികളുടെയും നിലനിൽപ്പ് തന്നെ വാൾത്തുമ്പിൽ നിന്നിറ്റു വീഴുന്ന ചോരത്തുള്ളികളുടെ കണക്കെടുപ്പുകളിലാകുന്നു. ഇത് കേരള മനസാക്ഷിയെ ഒന്നടങ്കം കണ്ണുനീർ ചിത്രങ്ങൾ കൊണ്ട് ഞെട്ടിക്കുകയാണ്. നിസ്സഹായരായ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ, ഭാര്യ, സഹോദരങ്ങൾ , പിഞ്ചു കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ.. അവരുടെ ദാരുണമായ മുഖം കേരള മനസാക്ഷികളോട് ഉയർത്തുന്നൊരു ചോദ്യമുണ്ട്.

മരണപ്പെട്ടവൻെറ വീട്ടിലെ ‘ശവമടക്ക് ആഘോഷങ്ങൾ ‘രണ്ടു ദിവസം നീളുന്ന ചർച്ചകളിൽ അവശേഷിക്കുന്നു. തുടർന്ന്, അനാഥത്വം പേറുന്നൊരു കുടുംബം, ജീവിതം വഴിമുട്ടി നിൽക്കുന്ന കാഴ്ചകൾ എത്രയോ നാം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. അക്രമങ്ങളിൽ ജീവൻ മാത്രം അവശേഷിപ്പിച്ച്.; ജീവിക്കുന്ന രക്തസാക്ഷികളായി മാറി, ജീവശ്ചവമായി മരിച്ചു ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ ഇന്നും നമുക്ക് ചുറ്റുമുണ്ട്. ലോകത്തിലെവിടെയെങ്കിലും ചോര വീഴുന്ന കലാപത്തിൻെറ കഥകൾ കേട്ടാലും ഭയത്തിന്റെ ഞെരിപ്പോടുകൾ ഉള്ളിലമർത്തി ജീവിക്കുന്ന ഇവരെ അവർ വിശ്വസിച്ച പ്രസ്ഥാനവും സമൂഹവും മറക്കുന്നു. ഇരുൾ മൂലകളിലെ ജീവശിലാശില്പങ്ങളായി തന്നെ അവർ വിസ്മൃതികളിലേക്ക് മറയുന്നു.
ഓരോ കൊലപാതകങ്ങളും രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ ചർച്ചയിൽ അവസാനിക്കുക മാത്രം ചെയ്യുന്ന ഭരണകൂട നിസ്സംഗതയാണ് ആദ്യം ചർച്ചാവിഷയമാക്കേണ്ടത്.
