തിരുവനന്തപുരം: കേരളത്തിൽ മികച്ച ചെസ്സ് കളിക്കാരുടെ ഒരു നിര ഉയർന്ന് വരുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ധാരാളം പ്രതിഭകൾ കേരളത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടെന്നും പ്രശസ്ത അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ചെസ്സ് കോച്ച് ആർ ബി രമേശ് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ആർ പ്രഗ്‌നാനന്ദയുടെയും സഹോദരി ആർ വൈശാലിയുടെയും കോച്ച് കൂടിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം. ചെ ഇന്റർനാഷണൽ ചെസ്സ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിൽ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ചെസ്സ് പരിശീലന ശില്പശാല നയിക്കുന്നതിന് വേണ്ടി എത്തിയതതായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. കേരളത്തിന് ആവശ്യം ചെസ്സ് മേഖലയിലെ അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യ വികസനമാണ്. ധാരാളം കഴിവുള്ള പ്രതിഭകൾ ഈ മേഖലയിൽ കേരളത്തിനുണ്ട്. ശില്പശാലയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തവരിൽ ഭൂരിഭാഗവും നല്ല പരിശീലനത്തിലൂടെയും മാർഗനിർദേശത്തിലൂടെയും മികച്ച കളിക്കാരായി മാറാൻ പ്രതിഭയുള്ളവരാണ്. കേരളത്തിന് ഇപ്പോൾ ആവശ്യം ചെസ്സ് അക്കാദമികളാണ്. തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെപ്പോലെ സംസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ഇത്തരം അക്കാദമികൾ ആവശ്യമാണ്. സ്കൂൾ സമയത്തിന് ശേഷം ഇത്തരം അക്കാദമികളിലെ പരിശീലനം തീർച്ചയായും കുട്ടികളെ മികച്ച കളിക്കാരായി വാർത്തെടുക്കും.
ഒരു ഗ്രാൻഡ് മാസ്റ്റർ പോലും ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു കാലം കേരളത്തിനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഇന്ന് മൂന്ന് മികച്ച ഗ്രാൻഡ് മാസ്റ്ററന്മാരാണ് കേരളത്തിനുള്ളത്- ജി എൻ ഗോപാൽ, നിഹാൽ സരിൻ, എസ് എൽ നാരായണൻ. ഇവർ കൊണ്ട് വന്ന ഉണർവ് ഇവിടെ പ്രകടവുമാണ്. ചെസ്സ് ഫെസ്റ്റിവലിന്റെ ഭാഗമായ ശില്പശാലയിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത കുട്ടികളിൽ കളിയോടുള്ള കൗതുകവും, സ്നേഹവും, അഭിനിവേശവും വ്യക്തമാണ്. ഇനിയും നിരവധി ഗ്രാൻഡ് മാസ്റ്ററന്മാരെ കേരളത്തിന് വരും വർഷങ്ങളിൽ ലഭിക്കുമെന്ന കാര്യത്തിൽ തീർച്ചയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.
