തമിഴ്നാടുമായി പങ്ക് വെക്കുന്ന കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ അതിർത്തി ജില്ലകളായ തിരുവനന്തപുരം, ഇടുക്കി, പാലക്കാട് എന്നിവടങ്ങളിൽ തമിഴക രാഷ്ട്രീയം കൂടുതൽ സജീവമാകുന്നു AIDMK , DMK , വിടുതലൈ തിരുത്തുക്കൾ കക്ഷി ,പട്ടാളി മക്കൾ കക്ഷി ,മറുമലർച്ചി ദ്രാവിഡ മുന്നോക്ക കഴകം എന്നീ രാഷ്ട്രീയ പാർട്ടികൾ അതിർത്തി ജില്ലകളിൽ തമിഴ് ജനതക്കിടയിൽ സ്വാധീനമുറപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്.
തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ തിരഞ്ഞെപ്പിൽ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥികളെ നിർത്തുവാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് .
പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയിലെ ചിറ്റൂർ, അട്ടപ്പാടി, മണ്ണാർക്കാട്, മുതലമട ,എ രുചിയാമ്പതി, വടകരപ്പതി, കൊഴിഞപാറ, മീനാക്ഷിപുരത്തിൻ്റെ ചില ഭാഗങ്ങൾ, പ്ലാച്ചിമട ,മലമ്പുഴ എന്നിവടങ്ങളിലാണ് തമിഴക പാർട്ടികൾ സജീവം ഇടുക്കി ജില്ലയിൽ മൂന്നാർ അടക്കമുള്ള ടൂറിസ്റ്റ് മേഖലയിലും തോട്ടം തൊഴിലാളികളുടെ ഇടയിലും തമിഴ് പാർട്ടികൾ സജീവമാണ് നിലവിൽ തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് നിരവധി ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ ഉണ്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞ നിയമ സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ഉടുമ്പൻചേല, ദേവികുളം, പീരുമേട് മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ AIDMK സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി നിർത്തിയിരുന്നു പതിനായിരത്തിൽ ഏറെ വോട്ടുകൾ ഇവിടങ്ങളിൽ ലഭിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ കൊട്ടാരക്കരയടക്കം അതിർത്തി പ്രദേശങ്ങളിൽ ലോക്കൽ ബോഡിയിൽ ജനപ്രതിനിധികൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ സ്ഥിതിയും മറിച്ചല്ല കഴിഞ്ഞ നിയമസഭ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ ഡോക്ടർ ബിജു രമേശ് ആയിരുന്നു AlDMK യുടെ സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥി 6000ത്തിലേറെ വോട്ടുകൾ ബിജു രമേശിന് ലഭിക്കുകയുണ്ടയി അടുത്ത പഞ്ചായത്ത് തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം കോർപ്പറേഷനിലടക്കം സ്ഥാനാർത്ഥികളെ നിർത്തുമെന്ന് AlDMK മുൻ സംസ്ഥാന സിക്രട്ടറി അഡ്വക്കറ്റ് ശ്രീനിവാസൻ വേണുഗോപാലൻ ദ്രാവിഡ നോട് പറഞ്ഞു
