അച്ഛനും, അമ്മയും, അനിയത്തിയും, ഞാനും, അതായിരുന്നു ഞങ്ങളുടെ കുടുംബം.
അച്ഛന്റെ പെട്ടന്നുണ്ടായ മരണം അമ്മയും, ചെറിയ കുട്ടികളായ ഞങ്ങളും ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടു പോയി. ആരും ഇല്ലാതായ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ആകെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ധൈര്യം ജിമ്മിയായിരുന്നു.അമ്മ ജോലിക്കും, ഞങ്ങൾ സ്ക്കൂളിലും ,പോയാൽ ജിമ്മിയായിരിക്കും വീട്ടുകാവൽ.
അമ്മ ചില ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞെത്താൻ വളരെ താമസിക്കും അപ്പോൾ ജിമ്മി അമ്മയെ അന്വേഷിച്ച് അടുത്തുള്ള ബസ് സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ പോയി കാത്ത് നില്ക്കും.പിന്നെ അമ്മയോടപ്പമാണ് വരാറ്…
ഒരു ദിവസം അടുത്ത വീട്ടിലെ ശ്രുതി എന്നെ വിളിച്ചു .
സ്വപ്നാ നീ ഇങ്ങോട്ട് ഒന്നു വന്നേ… ഒരു കാര്യം പറയാനാണ്.
എന്താ കാര്യം എന്നറിയാൻ ഞാൻ അവളുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് ചെന്നു.
എന്തിനാ ശ്രുതീ എന്നെ വിളിച്ചത്.
സ്വപ്നാ ഞങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ ഒരു ഊഞ്ഞാൽ കെട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. നീ വരൂന്നോ ആടാൻ… നല്ല രസമായിരിക്കും.
ഞാൻ വരാം എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിച്ചു പോന്നു.
ശുതിയും, കുടുംബവും, ഗൾഫിൽ നിന്ന് നാട്ടിൽ വന്നിട്ട് കുറച്ചു ദിവസമായിട്ടേ ഉള്ളൂ.ശ്രുതിക്കും, അനുജനായ ശ്രീകാന്തിനും, അവരുടെ മുത്തശ്ശൻ കെട്ടിക്കൊടുത്തതാണ് ഊഞ്ഞാൽ.
കുറച്ച് കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ അമ്മയോട് പറഞ്ഞ് ശ്രുതിയുടെ വീട്ടിലേക്ക് പോയി..
എന്നെ കണ്ടും ശ്രുതി ഓടി വന്നു. സ്വപ്നാ വാ നമുക്ക് ഊഞ്ഞാൽ ആടാം .. അവർ രണ്ടു പേരും എന്നെയും കൂട്ടി ഊഞ്ഞാൽ ആടാൻ പോയി.
എന്നെ ശ്രുതി ഊഞ്ഞാലിൽ കയറ്റി ഇരുത്തി. പുറകിൽ നിന്ന് ശ്രുതിയും, അനിയനും, തള്ളാൻ തുടങ്ങി. ഊഞ്ഞാൽ വളരെ ഉയരത്തിൽ പോയ്ക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. എനിക്ക് പേടിയായി. ഊഞ്ഞാൽ നിർത്താൻ പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് അവർ കൂടുതൽ, കൂടുതൽ തള്ളിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. ഞാൻ ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ച് കൂവി.നിർത്തൂ… നിർത്തൂ.. ആരെങ്കിലും ഓടി വരണേ… എനിക്ക് പേടിയാകുന്നു ഓടിവായോ..
